Erwitte Open 2026 – Hotel 2.6 km from the Tournament
From 16 to 23 August 2026, the Erwitte Open takes place in Erwitte – an official ITF World Tour tournament drawing professional women’s tennis players from across Europe. Flair Hotel zur Therme is 2.6 km from the tennis club and a practical base for players, coaches, parents and travelling companions.
What is the Erwitte Open?
The Erwitte Open is an official ITF World Tour W35 event – one step below the WTA, with a field to match: players with ITF world rankings, some climbing, some fighting their way back. Not an amateur event, not an exhibition. The 2026 edition is the 6th, and entries come from across Europe.
The 2023 doubles winner, Nika Radišić from Slovenia, already stayed with us that year – along with her coach Dominik Senica. Whether she’ll be back in 2026, we can’t say – but their breakfast tables are ready.

- From 18 August: Main draw, singles and doubles
- 23 August: Singles final – 1 PM

Supporting programme
The Erwitte Open is more than professional tennis. Opening Sunday has a Family Day from 10 AM – bouncy castles, oversized darts, popcorn. Mid-week, local players join the pros for a team doubles competition. Friday evening there’s a DJ party. Food runs all week: grilled burgers and drinks available courtside.

For players and their entourage, what matters is simple: short distances and quiet nights. Flair Hotel zur Therme is a 3-star bed-and-breakfast hotel in Bad Westernkotten, a district of Erwitte. The tennis club is 2.6 km away. There’s parking for cars with equipment. Breakfast starts early enough before match days begin. The rooms are quiet – no city noise, no late-night bar traffic.
After the match: the spa
Clay court tennis is harder on the body than it looks from the stands. Hours of lateral movement and sliding on sand, shoulder and arm strain from every stroke, and August heat throughout. The Hellweg-Sole-Thermen is 50 metres from the hotel. The thermal water contains approximately 3.5% natural brine – the buoyancy takes load off joints and the spine, and the warmth releases muscle tension. Bad Westernkotten has been a recognised spa town for centuries, so the water is not an afterthought here. For players who need to be back on court the next morning, that matters.
